Olga Minerva Flores has been part of the Smiths Family for 19 years, joining in 2004. She is now based in Flex Tek Mexico as Sales and Leader SGI Manager.
What is your proudest achievement at Smiths?
I am proud to have grown together with Tutco. In the past 19 years since we started a production line with only 30 employees, we have grown rapidly and now there are more than 700 employees. I am introduced to every visitor as ‘the first employee’ because I am literally the first employee the company hired in Reynosa Mexico.

Tell us about one of your best moments here at Smiths?
One of the best moments at Tutco is when I was invited to be part of the operations transfer team from Cookeville in Tennessee to Reynosa in Mexico, - which was my first time on a plane. It was through this experience that I was able to learn English and how all areas of the company work.
What advice would you give to colleagues who have just started their career at Smiths?
Use Smiths values to lead your way in the company and you will find it easier to succeed. Not only this, but the satisfaction of leaving a mark on others in a positive way through your work is a valuable gift.
What makes you excited for your future at Smiths?
What excites me the most is to see the results of each challenge that arises when we set the objectives, grow with my team in each project and proudly bring to my family the results of my performance.
