Smiths Detection, part of global technology business Smiths Group, has completed a major order of advanced detection equipment for Emirates Group Security at its facility in Dubai World Central, an economic support zone around the new Al Maktoum International Airport.
The contract comprises a range of HI-SCAN X-Ray cargo scanners covering the inspection of bulk containers, standard freight and oversized baggage. The screening system developed for the facility also includes centralized monitoring where images can be analysed from a central control room.
