Britain’s Most Admired Companies 2022 sector award

Smiths Group plc, the industrial technology business improving our world through smarter engineering, has been announced as Britain’s top company in its sector at the 2022 Britain’s Most Admired Companies study.

Smiths Group won in its sector in five of the study’s thirteen criteria: Quality of Products and Services, Long-term Value Potential, Quality of Marketing, Competitiveness and Effective Corporate Governance.

Established in 1990, Britain’s Most Admired Companies is the UK’s longest running annual survey of corporate reputation. The competition is unique in that the winners are voted for by board representatives, analysts and City commentators.

Paul Keel, Chief Executive Officer of Smiths Group, commented: “Being recognised with this award is testament to the strong culture we are building at Smiths Group and is another proof point of the great progress we continue to make. My thanks go to all my colleagues across Smiths. It is your hard work that has enabled us to achieve this recognition.”

Smiths Group was placed 11th overall out of a total of 259 leading British companies selected from 28 sectors. It was also the biggest riser in the study, rising 181 places from the previous survey.
