SMITHS Medical, part of the global engineering business Smiths Group, today announced that its Patient Monitoring business has been named Manufacturer of the Year by Tri-anim Health Services, Inc for its Acute Care Division. Tri-anim is a leading provider of specialty sales and distribution solutions for healthcare in the US. The honor was conferred at the Tri-anim National Sales Meeting in Garden Grove, California, on July 23, 2006.
This prestigious award, given to only one supplier among hundreds of acute care suppliers, is based on overall sales and profit growth as well as the relationship and support provided by the manufacturer. Smiths Medical has seen tremendous growth in its business with Tri-anim over the last year. Sales of the Smiths Medical Patient Monitoring business to Tri-anim increased almost six-fold in just 12 months. Reasons given for the choice were outstanding support at all levels, excellent communication, a great working relationship and strong prospects for future growth.
